I wanted to use the minimum because it could be so easily referenced.  I always have to watch out for the trollery around here - you know, the folks that come in demanding links and proof and whatever you give them they'll dispute.

in Milwaukee (note my sig name).  No troll here.  And I know this info, because I'm one of the state employees taking home a lot less now, and after no raises for more than five years.

I won't be a Milwaukeean, or a Wisconsinite, as soon as I can get out of a state that no longer is the state that I knew.  With such setbacks in income, though, and with unemployed children to support, it will take a while.  By then, Walker will be gone, one way or another -- but the majority who voted from him and their mean streak still will be here.  So I'll be leaving them behind to take this once-wonderful state down the drain.  I can't watch that for the rest of my life.

because I've read your always excellent commentary.

They just come in to disrupt discussions by challenging well-know assertions, and demanding more and more links which they reject.  Fortunately, they didn't come in this time.

It only takes one troll in to distrupt an entire conversaion or stop the conversation altogether.  Such are the times we live in, unfortunately.

In terms of leaving the state, in a word - don't.  Yes, we'll always have the solidly red districts where selfish old coots still live in a delusional world where they think they made it all on their own, but most people here understand that we live in a society where we must support each other for progress to be made.  2010 will become just a blip on the radar - a point of wake up for the state that jolted a lot of people out of their political comas.

I don't hear anyone telling me that there's "no difference" between the Ds and Rs.  I don't hear people tell me that elections aren't important.  As horrible as things are, this is the time we change our state for a long time in the future.  Nobody will sit out elections in the future or get fooled into voting for someone like Walker again.

I want to be part of that, participate in that, and take my state back.  Don't you?
