reference  about obama, people around here would have shunned you as a racist. the hypocrisy around here is starting to burn.

In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm, and three or more is a congress. -John Adams

the common right wing canard that is false equivalence, the "both sides do it" lie.

Herman Cain is performing a very different type of blackness and negritude than is Barack Obama. Whatever one thinks of Obama's policies he is really a model of black respectability, success, comportment, and in some ways genius.

Cain is the anti-Obama. Take that as you would have it.

Herman Cain, a Morehouse graduate and a rocket scientist is acting like a semi-literate black sharecropper and/or happy slave right out of the worst part of the white racial id and Jim Crow imagination.

Thus, to say that Obama shucks and jives for white folks in the same way that Cain puts on the metaphorical cork to please white conservatives as their lapdog and supplicant would be patently untrue.

Cain is playing a game here. The next thing you know he is going to say that slavery was good for black Americans because it got us out of Africa, brought us Christian values, and taught us discipline.

Trust me, he will go there.

When Andrew Cuomo used the phrase "shuck and jive" about Obama in 2008, he was excoriated over it, and it wasn't, for the most part, because people thought the term was inaccurately applied.  The bulk of the criticism, as I recall it, was because people felt the phrase shouldn't be used regarding a person of color, period.

to turn a phrase, sometimes you got to call a spade a spade.

herman cain is a shucking and jiving neo-minstrel cartoon character.

nothing more and nothing less. he knows what he is doing. he should be called out for his role.
