  •  That's what I said. (0+ / 0-)

Call her a Teabagger.  Are you under the impression that Teabaggers are something other than charted by wealthy elitists, beholden to them and their money, voting in lockstep with their party?

The two things Teabaggers hate most are: being called racists; and black people.

that if you tried to campaign by calling Snowe a Tea Party member, Maine voters would laugh you out of the state? It doesn't matter that you think a moderate member of the Republican establishment is a "Teabagger." Your opinion will not turn any elections in Maine.

    •  Meet a guy who's challenging her from the Right. (2+ / 0-)

A guy who doesn't shirk the Tea Party label. He wears it like a badge of stupid pride:

So long as THIS guy exists, you get laughed out of town by calling HER a Teabagger, WITHOUT discussing her voting record.

Because THIS guy is the Teabagger Gold Standard. He eats conspiracy theory, shits anger, and wipes his ass with the Constitution, while humming the Battle Hymn of the Republic under a giant Gadsden Flag.

      •  Wow, you're really upset. (0+ / 0-)

This is amazing.  You're actually seriously unhappy that someone is suggesting a longshot approach for a Democratic candidate who otherwise has no chance of possibly winning.

        On the internet.

Sure, don't call her a Teabagger.  Call her "weak and beholden to Teabaggers."  Tweak, the message, whatever.  But "Voted against infrastructure" is a one way ticket to a trivia question answer, and the reason you're so prickly about this is that you know it.

        •  Heh. No. I'm really not. (0+ / 0-)

You weren't lying when you suggested that you've studied Rove, though.

"He's a gay heathen!", shouted the good Reverend Haggard.

You're actually seriously unhappy that someone is suggesting a longshot approach for a Democratic candidate who otherwise has no chance of possibly winning.

It's more mild amusement that an out-of-stater thinks he's got the solution to the ever present problem of Snowe's cross-aisle popularity, and that solution is to subjectively pin her to a group that she's objectively never been associated with.

And while such a thing COULD be argued at the voting level, said Robert Langdon believes that the people who would vote for her are simpletons with short attention spans, who won't go in for explanations that are predicated on her Congressional votes.

But "Voted against infrastructure" is a one way ticket to a trivia question answer, and the reason you're so prickly about this is that you know it.

Call it "Voted against the President's jobs bill." then. That's the main point: she doesn't care about the 99%.

          On the internet.

Funny thing about the internet? You can't possibly see that I consider this back-and-forth we've got going on, here, to be a fun diversion from my work-a-day grind.
