    •  It isn't like the drivers were on a roadway and (7+ / 0-)

couldn't stop. They made a conscious choice Not to stop! This is at least reckless endangerment on the drivers part, for starters!

So, basically the Oakland and DC cops have decided that is now perfectly legal to recklessly endanger human life because the drivers were inconvenienced?

I am a pedestrian and proceeded to walk across a street with no traffic one day, and all of a sudden a car comes out of nowhere and starts speeding up.  I stopped in the nick of time as he recklessly barreled through the intersection.  A young woman walking behind me said that its a good thing I stopped, because she was distracted by here IPOD and didnt see any traffic either so followed my lead in crossing the street.

I guess if both of us had been killed, it would have been ok with the police because the driver "had the green light" and decided to speed up instead of show some human decency and respect for life and give me and the young woman 2 seconds to get across the road, it seems like the police have decided that if you are not in their political camp that your life is not valuable.

Next time I hear a lecture about how the police are good people just doing their job Im going to throw up!

how he slowed down and then accelerated into them.

But since it was a green light and they were inconveniencing him, I'm sure that's all right.
