  •  Remember when you were a kid? (10+ / 0-)

Remember when you got sick and Mom's hands felt so good?

Remember when your own kids got sick, or when they were playing and got dirty... and your hands got soiled with one thing or another?

    What happened?

Hands got washed and they were as good as new and the TMI stuff (whatever it was) was forgotten.  None of the mojo was removed..., and with the washing it was better because hands smelled like they were supposed to for having the mom-smell on them.

Mom hands (and bodies) have been shat upon and barfed upon (and and her boobs eaten from) since motherhood was invented (like forever ago).  The mojo just gets better with age and with washing.

So, too, with love and comfort quilts that Sara and Ann make, and the good wishes and mojo words (even if they ever get old enough to fade, the mojo stays).  The mojo only gets stronger when the blankies are used, washed, and used again - and again and again and again....

May you continue to fell better and better and be cured of that horrible disease soon!

P.S.  Being pissed at the political hacks is not "just" heightened emotions.  I feel that way all the time, have felt this way since the appointment of you-know-who in Dec. 2000, and it only got worse with each new lie and each new war crime as the decade passed.  I have high blood pressure, so sometimes I just have to walk away.

I recommend Hulu for TV shows like Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert plus my favorites like Revenge (best-written show on TV, but unfortunately the first two episodes that contain the background are now off the web site and won't be on unless they are repeated), Castle (last week's episode is what should have happened instead of the last five episodes of season II and all of season III) and a few old movies (some are free, others are behind their pay wall - I watch the free ones).  Some old TV series are on in their entirety.  I like the British series best of all.  Kingdom and Doc Martin I can recommend highly as long as they're each watched in chronological order.

like the one you posted the other night of the Cat Duet also help; I've been watching that one over and over because I love it so much! (And I feel better now that I know it was from 1999; it means those two boys are now in their 20s and I can now feel like a cougar instead of a pervert.)

"on demand" from Verizon and get TV shows for free.  Annette suggested it and (boing) yes, I could.

Had I not been sick, I would have turned it off and done something else.  Cain is as bad as any of us think.

Alan Grayson: "In 2010, my district and everywhere else in Florida, Republican turnout was in the sixties. Democratic turnout was in the forties." Think about it.
