        I'm just doubtful it can be stopped unless the states involved try to stop it.

        And, as for climate change, I think that ship sailed.....

        Ideology is an excuse to ignore common sense.

      heated to flow thru a pipeline, and because of it's caustic nature it erodes the welds wreaking environmental havoc, polluting waterways and land. That is not a matter of 'if', but 'when' and where this time.

      All to get 'refined' in Texas at the ports where it will leave to the buyers on the world market.
      Like all other extraction industries, the effects of their toxins on people's health, the ruined water, land and air are what the taxpayers get, the industries just reap the profits. Leaving their messes behind.
      This mess will keep on giving.

      They could refine the tar sands, and maybe get some business from the North Sea and Alaska.
