OK. It is dysfunctional to call it a disorder.

Since you wagged your finger at my error - we joined DKos at about the same. You must have missed my 14 diaries and 272 comments containing either PTS or PTSD according to DKos search.

Long before the VA acknowledged PTS, I was among those trying to convince Congress to pay attention to Post Traumatic Stress. jimstaro, Ilona, testvet, and I wrote, lobbyied, did radio shows, interviews with newspapers and everything else we could to bring the matter to the public's attention. Ilona wrote a book on the subject. Both jimstaro and I held her hand throughout the process. Meanwhile I started counselling those who were in deep trouble as a result of their PTS. Both CBS and PBS carried the story of a kid I was helping that you can watch today:

    This takes you to PBS.

And then there is Tim Bowman who committed suicide on Thanksgiving Day, 2005. His parents Kim and Mike met ilona and me in 2007. We convinced them to go before Congress. Five weeks later they testified.  Mike's testimony was carried on every network.

so, your guess would be wrong.

Bring them all home NOW. There is no longer any excuse.
