  •  Most laws about women's bodies (4.00)
    go back to the English Common Law idea of women as property.  The only exception to that may be abortion laws, which go back to the idea of doctors as professionals.  But not surprisingly all those laws are about men as subjects and women as objects of law.  Nothing about women as citizens or subjects, of course, given the time period in history when they first got on the books.
