I was thinking last night about how the premium placed on virginity is indicative of the stubborn notion that women are property.

The anti-choice folks become very agitated when we use the 'it's my body' argument. The fact that it's regarded as immoral and the silence when folks ask whose body it is is one of the things which does not allow me any respect or tolerance for their position.
And in the bible, particularly the OT women are  chattel. Adultery is a property crime.

We're supposed to vote for and support candidates who view us as property? The basic insult and degradation goes so deep I'm amazed, absolutely amazed that folks here don't get this.
