I know we won last night... but what really happens now that we won... my wonderful Grandmother used to say,  be careful for what you wish....

If there really is no money... we will still be laid off.

but this bill was not about budgets or money or layoffs. All of that was determined in Kasich's biennial budget for which he stole money allocated to local governments and school systems in order to produce a bloated state budget $5 billion higher than the previous governor's. THAT is why you will be laid off.

Also because he managed to find $5 billion more than we spent in the previous two years, it's clear that there is not "no money." That, by the way, is a far-right Tea Party frame – that the country is "broke," that there is "no money" and therefore we need to crush the middle class and starve children and slash jobs. No, the problem is that all the money is flowing to the 1 % and they don't want to share. Where do you think Kasich's extra $5 billion is going? For-profit charter schools run by one of the state's top GOP donors. $50 million to build Diebold a spiffy new headquarters. Etc etc. It's not teachers and firemen bankrupting the state.

Take the "Can't(or)" out of Congress. Support E. Wayne Powell in Va-07.
