Like I said, everyone needs to take a deep breath and start listening to each other.

I do want to participate, and have been.  I've donated money and supplies to OO, got teargassed in the march following the first eviction, participated in the General Strike and have voted in General Assemblies.

Certainly the police have been acting like bullies, I didn't say as much but I didn't say otherwise.  I also think their behavior has been childish, writing an open letter to the community airing their political grievances with the mayor and expressing no regret or accountability for they've handled their own department.

As for change coming with pain?  Sure.  But smashing the windows of community banks and other businesses who had closed down in solidarity with a general strike?  That's counterproductive.

Any movement's greatest strength is its power in numbers, and alienating a large number of people by refusing to renounce the destruction they're seeing in their own communities is also counterproductive. Many people at OO recognize this, but collectively have been unable to come to consensus.

I appreciate your thoughts on all of this but I'd appreciate if you'd express them with a little less vitriol.
