  •  What is the purpose of this? (0+ / 0-)

Seems as there should be a lot of blame to go around, but you know it all. You know where the blame really belongs...

But Obama says it's just a grey area...not really fraud.

    •  blame? I did not order the card! (0+ / 0-)

Where am I culpable here? I didn't order the card. This is the only way you can receive your child support in the state of Nebraska. That's how it comes...they put it on a debit card. I am not blaming Obama for what the bank is doing, but I do blame him for not seeing the absolute stealing. The fraud that these banks are engaged in. Sometimes I am blown away by the invalidation of some people on these threads. But whatever...if you don't get don't get it!

      •  The only thing I don't get (0+ / 0-)

is a completely gratuitous swipe at the current President for something that started 5 years ago.

But, gee whatever floats your boat. You're the one who knows everything, including what's in the President's head. Would that we all had your special access to that knowledge.

        •  Obama said there was no fraud...just negligence. (0+ / 0-)

I'll see if I can find the quote. It was about the banking system and the settlement they were trying to reach. He literally said that the banks behaviors did not reach the level of fraud...just negligence. I will find link and be back.

Wow...why are you so defensive of this president, that you would ignore the bulk of my post over that one comment, that I will soon provide a link for?

          •  Here's the link...Obama said it! (0+ / 0-)

For perhaps the first time, President Barack Obama was forced to explain why there have been no prosecutions of Wall Street executives for their fraudulent actions during the run-up to the financial crisis. Asked by Jake Tapper to explain this behavior, Obama basically suggested that most of the actions on Wall Street weren’t illegal but just immoral, and that his Administration worked to re-regulate the financial sector with the Dodd-Frank reform legislation.

“Banks are in the business of making money, and they find loopholes,” the President said. Apparently forging and fabricating documents to prove ownership of homes that are subsequently stolen from borrowers is now a loophole.

Many of the practices on Wall Street “weren’t necessarily against the law but they had a huge destructive impact,” said the President.

            •  He can't know this without investigation. (0+ / 0-)

it makes me sick that our president is colluding with the bankers. The most important part of the settlement is an agreement to investigate. I don't care about how much money, but the investigation is the part that the banks will not agree to. For Obama to make this statement, before there has even been an a blow to those of us, who have suffered. Either he is ignorant of the level of fraud, or he is complicit. Either one, SUCKS!
