Actually, I am a Catholic descendent of Lebanese Maronite Christians.  :-)  While the Church keeps vacillating on the Jews, I am fascinated and respectful.

What little I really know about Judaism has come from reading things as diverse as Chaim Potok and the Rabbi/Days of the week mysteries (can't remember the author).  I also have a friend who is Catholic, married to a Greek Orthodox.  She is a bit of a theology scholar and spent some time with the local Rabbi editing his writing in exchange for Hebrew lessons.  We've had some enlightening discussions.  So what I know has been picked up here and there.

The one thing I'm sure of is that the "Christ killer" thing is nuts.  Christians who have real faith understand that, whether it was the Jews or the Romans, Jesus had to die for our whole belief system to work.  If they can't deal with that, they should find another faith.  Oh, and whatever John was smoking when he wrote Revelation, I want some, too!  :-)
