They are hiring top-notch law firms and spending millions of dollars challenging the law, all the while hoping that they fail? Counting on it, in fact? No offense, but that strains credulity to me. The only conclusion I can draw is that the people challenging the ACA all the way to the Supreme Court do in fact want it to be overturned.

republican ideologues (or pursued further by them, e.g. Florida's own Pam Bondi) or conservative think tanks. One group that lost, Meade, opposed the law on religious grounds.

Who is hiring the top-notch law firms and spending millions of dollars challenging the law?

Similarly, efforts to repeal the law have originated largely with the usual wingnuts (King, Ryan, Bachmann, etc.).

are being brought by political types, including here in my own state of Virginia, then you are more right than I!  I don't have any evidence that insurance companies are spending millions of dollars trying to overturn the health care law. So it wasn't the most brilliant comment I ever made.
