  •  It's not his feelings... (5+ / 0-)

...I'm concerned with.  Ridiculing one person for being fat kind of sets a standard that fat people are deserving of ridicule.  And I know some terrific fat people who don't deserve one bit of ridicule.
And yes, I know I'm swimming upstream on this one, at least as far as this site goes.

If he was cool and fun, we'd just be concerned.

      •  He's a jerk regardless of his size. (2+ / 0-)

His size just adds to his personality as a close-minded bully.

Remember, you can't have crazy without az.

He'd be a jerk if he was as skinny as Obama. He'd be a jerk if he was not white. He'd be a jerk if he were from Minnesota instead of New Jersey. He'd be a jerk if he had matinee idol looks. He's a jerk. It has nothing to do with his size or his looks or his race or his ethnicity or his geographical location or any other superficial characteristic. None of that is relevant to his jerkitude. Otherwise all fat, white average-looking Catholic people from New Jersey would be jerks, and that's not so, is it? I used to live in New Jersey and knew more than one person fitting that description, and strangely enough, few of them were jerks, despite all that extra weight.
