    I really enjoyed that.  I grew up with the legend of La Follette, and his legacy of fair governance. Who of a certain age in Wisconsin did not?  And it is sad how many in Wisconsin have no idea who he is or what he meant to our state. (Which might trigger one of my favorite rants on the banishment of civics courses from American education, if it weren't just too darn late and a day already too long to do so.)  

    But you know,  I never saw him in action, so this is a first for me.  It was inspiring. These days it's tempting to think no one before us ever got it, like we think we get it.  He did, a long time ago.
