I never did anything political other than just vote before the recall season came up.  I did a little road-tripping for the senate recalls, but not much. (There were no recalls in my own area of the state).  But now that people can work on recalls anywhere in the state I decided to donate a little more time.  I've volunteered to collect signatures in one of the tents at Saturday's upcoming rally, and attended the training for that on Sunday.  The seats in the training room were full, they were running training sessions in the cramped basement room every 2 hours all day and they said every one of them was full (they advertised that each session can only handle 12 people, but I saw at least 20 chairs there and there were more than 12 people in our "class".)  A lot of people were saying this is the first time they've done anything like this.  The guy running the training session (who had just come back home from volunteering time to help Ohio's recent bill recall) said that was very typical.  They're getting a lot of first time volunteers.
