  •  On 'Morning Joke' today I saw a great example (5+ / 0-)

of what "bi-partisan compromise" and "working within the system" gets us these days - a so-called jobs bill sponsored by Senators Coons (D) of Delaware and Rubio (T) of Florida. They spoke about tax cuts and tax credits, R&D, but no revenue increases and no infrastructure spending. It was all about making things "easier for business" but nothing about putting money in the pockets of citizens through good-paying jobs so that demand is actually organic instead of manufactured. They manufactured demand for their supply-side bullshit in the tech bubble and the housing bubble and the 401-k-driven Wall Street/earnings bubble. With few Democratic exceptions, both parties have been ineffective/complacent at best and insidious at worst.

Welcome aboard, Mr. Liberal. The movement is changing the conversation. In my mind, the only people who oppose this movement are those who want the status quo. And the status quo is unsustainable. It won't stand.

    Peace :)
