  •  Well, I will give you and the ACLU a special (3+ / 0-)

dispensation from my critique.  There are of course always exceptions to any generalization.  Actually, I am happy for you if you are proud of what you do.  I bet many a lawyer has not been able to feel that way.

Heh, thank you. Yeah, the ACLU and NLG are badass. They're the two professional legal orgs I could actually be proud of. Carol Rose, executive director of ACLU Massachusetts, was the lone voice of sanity last night at a Federalist Society gathering here in Boston. I don't know how she managed to be in a room with people who are quite literally fascists, and not punch them all in the face. I couldn't have managed it.

When are you going to understand that being normal is not necessarily a virtue? It rather denotes a lack of courage. - Practical Magic

      •  I know exactly what you mean. I could never work (0+ / 0-)

in any capacity where I had to deal with right wing
nut jobs.  I really have, euphemistically speaking, a rather very dim view of their ideology.  I would provoke them hoping for a fight.  I just can't respect that type of person.  I can understand and even recognize a person with a conservative world view, but what I don't understand or accept is selfishness, stupidity,
and dishonesty which is what the current day GOP is.
