  •  I love this diary. (0+ / 0-)

Iceland is fascinating country. I love the streets named after the ancient gods! Smart! This is practical on different levels. Iceland has a good mix of magic, ice, and labor appreciation. :) Have you seen the Seagulls Daughter?

    •  No, I haven't -- is it good? nt (0+ / 0-)

It's Icelandic- I had heard that it was take n from an old fable I think. It takes place after WWII, with the main character astrong, very beautiful woman back from the U.S. After losing her husband. There is a strong feminist and socialist message delivered by what would have been an originally sexist shrift. It is delivered in a somewhat comedic way and has some fascinating magical elements mixed in with the landscape. I hope you can find it. Let me know what you think after you've seen it.
