    Law enforcement agencies in Europe and the US have ordered telecom companies to cut off phone lines used by Nigerian "advance fee" scammers or face litigation as accessories.

    Law enforcement in the US and Europe frequently order telecom companies to cut off mobile phone services being employed by drug cartels and other organize crime networks.

    This boat sailed a long time ago and for good reason.

      law enforcement agency in Europe have done.

      They are irrelevant to this conversation.  In the US, we have a constitutional protection against being deprived of our property without due process of law.

      She's the sort of person who would not only happily stay in Omelas, but would ask "Couldn't life be more wonderful if we threw a few more kids in there?"
