  •  Frankly, I'll take enthusiasm over eloquence (5+ / 0-)

I support President Obama...let's get that clear up-front.

The thrust of the diary seems to be that young people are less politically sophistated than older people.  I can't disagree with the thesis, but it does come across as sounding a lot like my 75-year old dad's "Durn kids!" moments of frustration with people younger than, say, 45.

However I've heard less coherent babbling coming from the mouths of 50-ish Tea Party denizens.  So why berate young people for sounding like political works in progress?  What they may lack in polish, they make up for in dedication and sheer numbers.  And hopefully in votes.

I think we can afford to be a little more forgiving and a little less judgmental of OWS protestors.  If I had to do what they do, it wouldn't happen...unless I could find parking for the RV.  Instead of sharing joints, I'd be sharing joint linament.  And I'd need an on-site chiropractic tent.

I'm gonna remain impressed with these young people, in spite of the less-than-polished utterances of a handful.
