  •  Yes I have read his blog (4+ / 0-)

and I know that it is not something to be taken in isolation. He views what he considers "colonialism" in all the same lens. I don't give a crap. I care what he thinks about Israel.

I am not saying he is inconsistant in his beliefs (though we can certainly talk about that as well as I believe his "anger" clouds his rationality). You will notice I said:

This is truth... this is what people want to blow off or sweep under the rug.

I believe he believes what many here believe. I think this is neither progressive nor democratic. I think this is what gets swept under the rug... "We don't want anything from the Israelis and for all our talk about democracy and equal rights... first.. we are going to fuck them over in revenge". Well hey guess what?  No. You are not. You know why, because the Israelis won't let you.

As for him being a representative of anything. You, yourself list his blog... so if you don't like his editorial why do that? BUT... he is neither Fateh or Hamas as you say. His ideas however, represent a portion of Palestinian political thought (my guess is like PFLP or something) but that is just a guess.

I guess the thing is Terra, it's time to stop sweeping shit under the rug. Neither side is going to end up with something approaching the U.S.A. or Western Europe (which is fracturing it seems but I may be wrong). This conflict is what it is, and as I said until there is new radical thinking in the area - NOTHING is going to happen except more pain and more death and that is the saddest thing of all.
