    The point is that unlike what is going on right now in Texas, there is no preclearance requirement for Wisconsin.  The Republican drawn maps would be entitled to some type of deference by the courts and they'd only be able to make the minimum changes necessary to reduce the even/odd issues.  

    I doubt that they'd throw it back to the legislature if indeed they do find the maps unconstitutional--they'd just draw the maps with as little change as is necessary to correct the unconstitutionality of it.

      at around 90k people at once. But it wasn't the only thing wrong with the map. SD-24 and SD-31 were modified in a rather strange way to make up for shrinking SD-10, and other such shifts in districts (some for a tiny gain in PVI) total about 200k.
