The Nader votes in Florida did not determine the election.  Have you forgotten about the purging of the voter rolls?  the hanging chads?  the inordinately high number of votes for Pat Buchanan in Miami-Dade?  The failure to count all of the ballots statewide?

The only reason I can fathom for blaming Nader is stated repeatedly by you during this thread- you have to vote for a Democrat, any Democrat!  Well, you may recall that was tried.  And then a new excuse was offered- there are too many blue dogs?  The president has no power over the party?  etc. ad nauseum.

    •  orestes, you obviously are a virulent anti- (0+ / 0-)

Dem. Why don't you just admit your bias and move on. Yes, the Nader votes determined the outcome. There are more states than Florida, and iirc I think Nader got a bunch of votes in California.

Pleaqse prove to me how Nader determined (or even had an effect on) the 2000 election.  You have gone further than anyone in ignorant anti-Nader zeal.  Please identify the other states in which votes for Nader affected the outcome and provide support for this specious claim.

You must be awfully young to have the chutzpah to make assertions about my political leanings without any knowledge about me.  For your information, I have been a lifelong Democratic, which has probably been longer than you've been out of diapers.  I have never voted for a republican in my life- and never will.  Which is more than I can say for many of the Dem establishment defenders around here.  I believe strongly in the Democratic party principle.  It is our elected officials who have abandoned the party.  They are anti-Dem, not me.
