  •  Except that's not the question... (16+ / 0-)

This isn't John Kerry D'Oh verbalizing "I was for it before I was against it" --- nor is it the quite reasonable position that when information changes, one's opinion might.

Maybe you can go from staunch defender of a women's right to "overturn Roe" alone.   Maybe you can go from a universal health care proponent to a "let 'em die if the state wishes it to work that way" alone.  Maybe you can go from amnesty to fence builder.  Maybe you can go from climate change should be addressed to Al Gore is fat.

Maybe you can do any ONE of these things - but there's no way you can do them all.

This isn't painting Romney as a mere flip-flopper, it's painting Romney as the most craven of opportunistic politicians, not just without any core values or beliefs, but without spine or convictions of any sort.

    •  I agree. (4+ / 0-)

The quanity and breadth of issues he's flipped on, nicely illustrated in this video coming out of Mitt's own mouth, should give any sane voter pause.

Any sane voter would conclude there is no way to predict what a Romney Presidency would look like. He seems to have no core that would drive the agenda.

As a friend once said of an impressionable mutual acquaintance: "He always seems to retain the impression of the last person who sat on his face."
