  •  This is the first recall that will involve (16+ / 0-)

the heavily Democratic areas of Wisconsin.  The 9 other recalls we petitioned for involved Republican districts.  The big push now is to get signatures fast in heavily trafficed public areas before we do the door to door canvassing.

Walker ads opposing recall began just before the start date of the petitions.  They're scared, as they should be.  Walker has been comfortable with opposition shrinking in the polls.  The recent polls, however, show the opposition growing.

Whether that growth was fueled by Ohio or the other great election results recently, or by the "Jobs" special legislative session that Walker called that legislated social issues like abstinence only sex ed rather than jobs can't be known.  The end result, though, are people excited to park their cars and come to where we're gathering signatures for their own opportunity to sign.

    It's very exciting.

    •  Based on the number of reps these ads had I'd (14+ / 0-)

say you're totally right about Walker et al being scared about recall election.

Is the plan to collect signatures right up until having to submit them for the deadline, to get as many as possible?  My worst fear is that Repubs will be up to their dirty old tricks to try to get tossed tons of legit signatures.

I do think lots of folks in MI, IN, FL, OH, MN, AZ are watching this.

You guys are doing a great job.  I'm so proud to be a Cheesehead!
