This is exactly the type of issue that can unite people from across the political spectrum.  Who would have thought something would cause RedState and DKos, Ron Wyden and Rand Paul to all be on the same side?

    Strange days...

that this begins a new era in the rightwing, or at least a shift in perspective. Before now, they never even considered the damage the power grabs would cause. Cause it was always their guys doing it. Now that they have found their outlets on the internet, they understand what they may lose; what that power given to an opposing faction could potentially do.

My hope is they will use this to learn to be more discerning with their party's activity. I always hope that the republicans will come to their sense. Cause theres this set of issues we all agree over, that we currently can't accomplish.

I'd prefer a rival to an enemy.

Totally agree.  We are all Americans, and at the root of it, we want freedom.

The two words conservatives fear most are so glaring in this censorship power grab by Leahy and Smith, namely:

        "Big Government"

While we might disagree with the right over issues like net neutrality, I think we do all agree that government censorship of our internet is unacceptable.
