  •  They were charged with misdemeanors.. (8+ / 0-)

Which means they'll spend more time in jail than Lindsay Lohan.

(They were being booked, rather than charged and released.)

    •  Someone should add up the total bill for that (10+ / 0-)

Add up the police mobilization costs, their overtime, their stormtrooper equipment cost.  Add up the cost to arrest and transport and book and jail the protesters.  Add up the costs of all their meals in jail.

        •  The 1% are worried...that is why this is happening (0+ / 0-)

Look for a spate of new laws elevating "illegal assembly" or whatever the charges are from misdemeanor to something more severe, maybe even given felony status. This is the kind of response I would normally ascribe to an alcoholic, and I say that with some insider info, I am one, albeit quite sober for quite a number of days, now...they are taking the battery out of the smoke alarm so it won't wake them in the middle of the night, and if anybody asks what those flames mean, they would reply, " you hear a smoke alarm?"
