    There are way too many draconian IP laws on the books as it is. The media lobbyists are operating under the delusion that they can stamp out piracy with laws. It cannot be done. The Internet itself is one big file transfer network. As long as there is an Internet there will be ways to pirate media. It simply is not possible to separate the two. Every single website you visit is a collection of files being downloaded by your web browser.
    We already have the necessary laws on the books to prosecute pirates. We simply do not need more IP laws. If anything we need fewer! Software patents, for example, are stifling innovation and raising the prices of tech products due to all the damn IP lawsuits every single tech company has to deal with.
    There is no need for anything "instead" of these proposed bills.

    Keep Christian mythology out of science class!
