I had to laugh at "kids chewed nicotine gum" because that is impossible for a kid to do for more than 3 seconds - no matter what the flavor. ANY flavor tastes like crap!

So yeah, the idea a kid would chew nicotine gum and then start smoking is ridiculous.

And the argument that "flavors" attract kids to buy e-cigs is stupid, too. What kid is gonna drop $10 for a disposable e-cig. Maybe once to look cool, but twice? And why would they go straight for the e-cig WITH nicotine? Wouldn't they more likely choose the bubblegum-flavored sans nicotine?

So much fail with the "flavor" argument. That's like a kid saying, "I wanna try alcohol because they have strawberry flavor!" NO, the kid just wants to try alcohol. Strawberry happens to be a choice of flavor, so she chooses that one.

So I find it hard to believe as well.

Still, I can't see marketing nicotine as candy LOOKING and tasting is anything other than a fail. :-)

That said, I have a strange child who loves black coffee and sips of Guinness. I hide the hell out of my e-cigs!
