      www.jimhopper.com is very good and detailed. He talks at great length about the complexity of statistics for one...

      There are links in that site in every direction, perpetrators, effects, gender splits on various issues, ... message me if you have things you can't find out about, or looking for more, or less professional/scientific paper kind of references.

      Oh, any of the ACE study papers (there are a fair number of them) via www.acestudy.org or google. That is a big one: 17,000 individuals have been tracked since the mid 90's and the health outcomes so correlated.

      A big shocker there for me is looking at individuals aged 60+ years old who had many "ACE's", "adverse childhood experiences", aka shitty childhoods... well, there are few of them left. They simply all died early from many causes. Simply put: people don't live very well, nor very long after an abusive childhood. They never really recover. Partly, we don't help them though.
