  •  OWS isn't about people governing themselves. (4+ / 0-)

It's about Government serving the people, and not the giant banks and corporations.

...If you have a better perspective.

Becuase I have nothing but my own experience and hundreds of articles to go off of.  If you have more, then please feel free to share more than insults.

The mystery is, what is heard from OWS?

If the message is the one that most Americans could actually relate to:

The System is rigged to favor the Rich.

We all know it and we are all sick of it.

        Fix the System, NOW!

or words to that effect, then we are all working together here, as best we each can.

If the message is that OWS proposes to be the model for a new form of governance that will sweep the slate clean for a revolutionary change, well, good luck on that.

OWS is a tool, a most amazing and unexpected one that the American zietgiest, in its hour of need, has spontaneously generated for the purpose of speaking truth to power and being HEARD.  A humdinger of a tool, and a whole bunch of folks, like yourself I imagine, are busy perfecting its use.  Thank you for that.  We need it.  And the demonstrated ability of Americans to creatively figure out how to work together, as shown in the order and organization of Occupy camps, and in the process of the General Assembly, is commendable and breathtaking to behold.  Bravo.

But when the work is done, as hopefully it will soon be, the craftsman puts the tool back in the box. He doesn't marry it.
