  •  The other problem to this is that the vacancies (6+ / 0-)

    will leave court cases being backed up until the judges can get to them.  Which leaves justice delayed, and denied, in cases.  The Republicans won't mind, because until the judges get to the case, those not wealthy enough to post bail will just rot in prison while those who are wealthy enough will have more time to have their lawyers pursuing additional measures to keep them out of prison.  

    The fewer the Democratically pointed judges that get onto the federal bench, the less chance laws favorable to Republicans get overturned.  For them, obstructionism is win-win.
