    The real issue is about off label prescribed use of RU-486 commonly used by doctors in the US.  

    As the article makes clear, the parent of this unfortunate child is not anti-abortion, and has in fact taken numerous steps to avoid being identified with that movement.  This is about prescribing the drugs in a manner not approved by the FDA.

    In France, where there is much less latitude for doctors to use alternative prescriptions of this drug, the death rate is tremendously lower.
