  •  Not buying that arbitrary line (1+ / 0-)

you've drawn between a girl and a woman.

What you propose is giving the parents of 'girl' who is on one side of that not-so-magical number '18' the ability to demand that she be forced to breed, which would make her the chattel property, i.e. a slave.

So we'll no longer have children, then. Instead, we'll have slaves. 'Slaves for God,' I suppose.

between a 12 to 16 year old girl and a woman, I suggest you read some developmental psychology,

Do you feel the same about rape, that there should be no statutory rape? I doubt that you do. So if you think there is some arbitrary line between a younger girl and a 17 year old in the matter of consent to sex, then it is logical to think that a 12 to 16 year old cannot make health decisions by herself. Can she consent to other medical procedures or medicines without her parents?

      •  Yes, and it's totally irrelevant. (0+ / 0-)

If adults forces a girl to breed, they're treating her just like slave. Full Stop.

sex acts, consenting or non-consenting, have next to nothing to do with the personal decision to bear a child. The first may, unfortunately, not be her decision to make, the second is most certainly her decision to make, because the implications of denying the second are even more troubling than the damage from the first decision.

effects.  I don't think you can draw a comparison between the two, since EC is used rarely and in one or two short doses.  Physiologically, this is a very different animal.
