    •  And this is a problem because (5+ / 0-)

MLK should have been thrown in jail and had the key tossed because he participated in civil disobedience actions?

And Rosa Parks should have been tear-gassed?

    •  Civil disobedience is not legal. (7+ / 0-)

Civil disobedience is non-violent, but not legal.

Civil disobedience happens when all legal and political resources have failed.

You have been following this obscure little story about the occupy movements, yes?

Perhaps you have also read a history book or two filled with stories about civil disobedience and rebellion against authority.  I think there might be a country or two that actually started this way.  You may even live in one of those countries.

Books are trash. Corporations are people. Tents are terrorism. Pepper spray soon to be declared a vegetable.

      Us ever need.

The Mainstream Media is only to happy to support any idiotic thing that comes out of the mouths and actions of the now co-opted Tea Party crowd, (even as they brandish guns and misspelled signs,) and that makes it even more important to show those who are our Lords and Masters that we do not accept the enslavement they have created.

For thirty years, both parties have outsourced our jobs, allowed inflation to force college students into accepting life times of paying back student loans, inflated and controlled bubbles are the "mainstay" of the economy, with each bubble's collapse further crippling the Middle Class.

Grayson said this week that fourteen trillions of dollars have gone to the Upper Elite at banks around the world. This money was lent out in secret by Bernanke at the Federal Reserve, while Obama pretended he doesn't understand enough about the economy to stop this outflow to the Elite. And while the bankers claim they have paid these "loans" back, the truth is, all they have done is off up the USA worthless books of worthless investment papers - items that have value only if used to wipe one's behind.

Also for thirty years, our public policy has become ever more warlike, ever more destructive of third world nations across the world. For whatever reason, though we have no money for Single Payer, no money for the crumbling infra-structure, we do have money for endless, un-winnable wars.

The Congress and the President only care about those who contribute the huge sums to their campaigns, and their legislative actions prove how bought, sold and paid for they have become.

In conclusion, Don't be Shy, Occupy!

Offer your heart some Joy every day of your life, and spread it along to others.

      •  well, I guess I'm not seeing the constitutional (0+ / 0-)

angle here.  March on streets, yes, make noise, bang drums, fine.  But take over a crane or a stack of containers?  I don't see that being constitutional.
