    Please explain then what you think of Sen Levin's clear statement that the administration ASKED for that language.

      Senator Levin is responsible for his own statement, whatever he meant by it. It doesn't really matter what he says someone says, whether it is in contradiction to what the other side says they said, or continue to say, and all that.

      What matters is what turns out to be in the final bill, and if the President vetoes it if the problematic language is still in there.

        they asked for it, as far as I know.  It's difficult for me to believe that Levin completely fabricated what he said in a very clear statement.  Levin and every other senator who voted for this language are wholly responsible for their votes, which is another matter.

          certain changes, and some of those changes were made in the bill. However, there were many other requested changes that Levin did NOT make. Feinstein was the one who told the truth.
