  •  Yeah, I've been looked at like that before (16+ / 0-)

    A few times.

I've had some scary moments as far as heterosexism goes.

I get it mostly from men who are attracted to me, honestly, although when I first came out and did the whole shaved-head and camo shorts dyke thing I got it from others. That's when it was scary.

More recently though I get it from men who are hitting on me. The funny thing is, it raises my feminist ire more than my homo ire. I guess to me it's like, "ok, you're a pretty girl, therefore I have some sort of right to claim you as mine. Oh, you're a lesbian? Fuck you! You have no right to take that from me."

"That" being me, my body, my face, whatever it is they're attracted to.

It really pisses some men off that women dare to take themselves off the market in that way.

So, yeah, as far as evil goes, I don't think I can look at someone who feels like I owe them my body just because I'm a female as anything less than evil.

I can't justify anyone thinking I'm less than them for any reason whatsoever without invoking a lack of soul, which to me as an atheist is the definition of evil.

Yes. People have looked at me like that before. And I think they have no soul.

To be fair, I have looked at people like that before as well. I should disclose that. Like the dude who was yelling at his girlfriend the other day on the street corner and told her she was a piece of shit and the only reason he was broke was because her fat ass and ugly fucking face made everything in his life shit. He raised his hand as if to hit her, realized they were in public, then backed off and called her a few more choice words for good measure.

That's evil. I don't care who you are or what you believe. When you exist solely to make someone else suffer, you're evil.

    P.S. I am not a crackpot.
