    after Newt had obtained the nomination, but I suppose that that can't be helped.

    Once again it strikes me how many terrible things -- even if deserved -- seem to happen to those who stand between Mitt Romney and his ambition.  I look forward to Bloomberg and CNN showing as much effort delving into Romney's financial records as they apparently spent here on Newt's personal ones.  I will not hold my breath for that to happen.

    (If it need be said: no criticism of the diarist is expressed or implied here.  I T&R'd the diarist, who has my admiration for his dogged pursuit of the story.)

      deeply as time passes. His Mormonism will make a fine target, as will his dirty financial dealings.
