    possible by de-contextualization. They ignore the historical and contemporary factors of institutionalized racism and insist that racism is all "in the past" and then point to the statistical achievement gaps and say, "see? They're all just lazy and stupid".

    It's this ignoring (and outright denying) of context that causes them to say, with a straight face, "Why do black people get to use the N word but I can't? That's the real racism!" It's this context-free argument that permeates the conservative thought-sphere and enables them to always portray themselves as the victims.
