  •  This Is My Take On Tim (4+ / 0-)

It could be sports. Business. Politics. You name it. But there are some people when they walk into a room they command it. You are willing to run through a brick wall for them. I think Tebow has that. Nothing more nothing less.

to get away from him.  I didn't understand his schtick in College and I don't get it now.

    •  At this point, he spooks the other team (5+ / 0-)

He doesn't just give his guys confident in the 4th quarter--he makes the other guys think something bad is going to happen any minute now. So it does.

      •  Marion Barber III, who made two crucial mistakes (4+ / 0-)

that cost the Bears the victory yesterday, is also a devout Christian, as much so as Tebow is but with less publicity.  Something else is going on in these games other than Jesus exerting his influence on professional sports.

        •  Let's give Tebow and Barber some credit (1+ / 0-)

Tebow doesn't think God cares who wins and I assume Barber's the same.

          •  I think Tebow believes God doesn't care (0+ / 0-)

I agree with him (if that's his belief).  Tebow isn't saying "God helped us win" but he does give thanks for the ability to play the game he loves as best he can.

I've been a fan of him and there have been some discussions in my house between my fandom of Tebow and my wife preferring Brady Quinn (she's getting a Tebow jersey for Christmas).  Neither of us was a fan of Orton, though he never was going to win over the fans in Denver given how he arrived and then imploded.

The mind game isn't part of football anymore?????  Those with weak minds get beat by those with better minds.  Really?  A stupid comment.

        •  I'm glad to see crude unreflective fandom here... (0+ / 0-)

...because it debunks the conservative notion that we're not real Americans! But I've heard enough and you can stop now.  I don't think I'm saying anything Tebow- or Denver-bashing, to make you jump like that.
