  •  I wouldn't think too hard about this. (4+ / 0-)

Tebow himself doesn't claim to believe that God cares who wins a football game.  I don't think Tebow is obnoxious about his faith at all.  And I think I have a good track record in advocating re-education camps for Christians.

but Jim Rome has this phrase he often uses about him. In something of both a honest and mocking fashion. It is if you spend five minutes with the guy you are a better person just from being close to him. By all accounts, and do we ever now these people we see on TV, he is a wonderful person. He practices what he preaches and isn't a fake.

When opportunity calls pick up the phone and give it directions to your house.

      •  if he really wanted to practice what (5+ / 0-)

he preaches he would not be playing professional football, an ugly game of glorified violence, sexism and commercialism on Sundays.

What is the message of pro football?  Beer.  Beer. Money. Money. Violence.  Serious injuries.  Broken down bodies at age 35.  Average career is 3 years.  Owners make millions. Taxpayers are fleeced for stadiums.

Fans are ripped off for tix, food, beer, parking.

Scantily clad cheerleaders.  it should theoretically be absolutelly disgusting to a "christian".

When I was young most church people abhorred pro football for these reasons.  Today it is America's new religion.  Think about it.
