Who's giving credit to Matt Prater for an IMPOSSIBLE 59 yd field goal?

So what it's about spectator reaction not

    Tebow's

Listen to any interview with the guy; he constantly refers to the team effort and other players who came through in the clutch.

and insistence on giving Tebow the credit instead of the team. No one is talking up the defense which is keeping them in the game or even the stupid mistakes made by Barber which made the win possiblek.

It's a horrible unwatchable comedy of errors show sickening to anyone who enjoys good football

was on the bench and they were 1-4. And it's not like this is the first time in history that the focus of attention on a football team was on its quarterback. Where have you been, under a rock?

he's giving credit to his team

If you take the time to read the diary, you'll see th point is about THE PUBLIC'S ATTENTION on Tebow, and the PUBLIC'S ATTENTION on individualism. It's about PEOPLE not TEBOW.

You for some reason are insisting he's giving credit to his team. WHO CARES???????? No one's talking about that.

He deserves much of the credit because all other things about the Broncos were the same when they were 1-4. The QB is a very important position in football. I don't think there's any other position as relatively important in any other sport that I can think of. Maybe pitchers in baseball, but pitchers are one out of nine players on the starting team (ten in AL). The QB is one out of 22 (more if you consider special teams).

And many of the heroics have happened to the Broncos with the ball in Tebow's hands. He's rightfully the center of attention. It's safe to say that the Broncos would probably out of playoff contention right now if Tebow hadn't come in.

      •  yes, the focus is on the quarterback (0+ / 0-)

        and has been
and that's the point of the diary
which you're somehow trying to say the diarist is wrong, while repeating the diarist's own point

Tebow is.  The media mentions him.  You are giving him great importance.  He's only had three field goals over 50 yards this year, it's just that his longest and perhaps most dramatic happened yesterday.  So what, his statistics don't put him anywhere in the top ten of anything except longest.  He's missed a bunch from 40-49yards.  The reality is that he just another guy on this team working his hardest and perhaps playing at his best because this guy Tebow inspires him.  There's nothing wrong with that.  We all hated Brett Farve too, but he was a leader too, and that's what made him great and it may make Tebow great too.  See, that's the problem with you statistics guys, there's concrete to rate leadership on, but it's one of the most important characteristics of a great quarterback.  So, you can throw all your statistics out.  He's one of the great leaders in pro football.  He's also got a pretty good team of other leaders, especially on defense.  So, IMHO, it only matters who the team is giving credit to, and they are giving it to Tebow, who never takes it but always lavashies it on his team mates.  Makes you kinda nostalgic, doesn't it.
