    ...and yet so extraordinary.

He simply makes everybody around him play better.  Whether it is from inspiration, focus, a sense of duty, not wanting to let their teammates down,...whatever.

The defense was poor before Tebow.  Now it's as good as any in the league.

The receivers weren't open before Tebow.  Now, when it matters, they are open.

The kicker was nothing special before Tebow.  Now, he makes everything, no matter how far, no matter how much at stake.

The winning isn't sustainable, however.  NFL guys will figure him out, and eventually design defenses that he can't defeat.    There is a reason why all "great" NFL quarterbacks do it the same way.  You can't defy the laws of physics in the universe (or the laws of fundamentals in the NFL) forever.  And, the rest of the team is decidedly mid-pack in talent.  That catches up to you sooner rather than later in pro sports.

I'm not a very spiritual person, and I've never been led by someone who can make everyone around them greater.  But, I have seen this before in sports, both as an athlete, and as a fan.  Tim Tebow is one special type of leader, and I admire him for it.   I hope it continues as long as possible.  Someday, when he leaves the NFL, I'm sure he'll be immensely successful at whatever he chooses to do.

We have one new player this year (Von Miller) and one player returning from a season ending injury last year (Elvis Dumervil).  The defense wasn't poor.  It's just that with returning and new players and a winning attitude, it's gotten really good.  Will be interested to see what our defense does against Brady next week and what Tebow can do against the Patriots absolutely horrible pass defense.

Have a good defense. Have a good punter. Have a good kicker. Don't play any good teams.
