My diary has spurred the exact phenomenon I address in the diary, but remains ignored in most of the comments (although I am perfectly glad for people to comment as they wish).

Most of the comments seek to use Tebow and to frame Tebow to fulfill a Truth they endorse.

    That's my point.

Imposing ideology on evidence instead of building ideology from evidence.

I want to talk about Tebow.

;) I kid.  Good diary thank you for it.  Rec'd and tipped.

To add some sort of value I say this:

Humanity tends to ignore the fact that we have perfected the art of manipulating ourselves.  The entire advertising industry is built upon the goal of manipulating other people, and they are really good at it!  Politics naturally adopted the advances in human influence the free market perfected.  It's hard to remember that someone is selling you on something all the time.  It can be disconcerting to think about at first.  However, just like Tebow, I think it's all well and good.  We are human.  We are still learning about living with ourselves.  Hopefully future generations are taught at a young age about the short cuts our brain takes to make decisions and give impressions.

      Cheers

When we talk about war, we're really talking about peace.
