    fighting distance--if we can get Gerlach off of his game. Maybe PA-08 too.

      Fitzpatrick doesn't have a lot of seniority.  And the district's probably only gotten a bit redder.

      He won by 8 points in 2010, which looks like a lot, but isn't too far from the national House margin (where Republicans won by 6.6 points).  However, it's a more substantial margin if you consider him a challenger (I'm not sure what the incumbency effect is in these cases).

      He lost by 0.6 points in 2006, a narrow margin especially considering the national House vote, where Democrats won by 7.9 points.  However, he was the incumbent then.

      So there is some evidence of his strength.
