    Sounds like you are in some tough binds.  But if you can find a way to do it, a pulmonary rehab program can do a lot of good.  The regular contact with experts at supervising what you are doing, knowing when to push and when to back off is amazingly powerful.
    Being forced to live without a car in a place where all planning is based on the car can magnify all other life problems.

      I did the six hours a day on the bus for four months to that hospital during my externship, that's not the problem. The problem is I'm not sure I can do the walk between connections any longer, at least not safely. I'd have to drag one of my kids with me as backup, and to call for help if I need it.
