Beethoven's 6th is my "stranded on a desert island" music choice.  Never gets old.

Everything by Beethoven..., and Mozart and Bach.

And because I was breathless the whole performance of the Houston Ballet Company's performance of Peer Gynt Suite by Edvard Grieg years ago (my best friend gifted us with tickets for the one-night performance - she's was raised on classical music and knew next to nothing about early rock and roll), I'd have to include that, too.  The cheerful Anitra's Dance is beautiful, and I also like In The Hall of the Mountain King.

This Peer Gynt Prelude in four parts is lovely, and because of the backup dancer group named Frikar with Alexander Rybak from the '09 Eurovision, I'm familiar with some variations of the Halling folk dances, and that enhances the music for me now.

I'm sick of attempts to steer this nation from principles evolved in The Age of Reason to hallucinations derived from illiterate herdsmen. ~ Crashing Vor
