    As I explained, the section the President threatened the veto over was the mandatory-detention section, Section 1032.

    That section has been changed, as per the link and quote I just provided you.

    You're referring to a different section.  Obama never threatened a veto over that section, because it allows him to keep using the federal courts for terrorism suspects, as he's been doing all along.  He objected to the other section, because it would have compelled him - not just created an authorization that he could ignore at will - to put terrorism suspects into military detention.
